The new PCM 10X is JR's top of the line radio system, engineered expressly for pilots
looking for the absolute best in radio control.  The PCM 10X is one of the most technologically superior systems on the market and will provide years of service.
Photo, Futaba 8HUP transmitter. In the Futaba 8UAP PCM pilots will find features that are unavailable on other systems in their class.  In fact, these radios provide almost all of the same capabilities as top of the line 9 & 10-channel systems at a cost within the realm of most heli pilots.
The best radio to buy.

The best recommendation when starting in helicopters is to purchase the best quality radio you can afford, similar to a computer, buying the basic radio (less expensive 6 channel) now will only take you into the beginning steps and upgrading will be necessary.  After the first season depending on how quickly you become addicted to this hobby, you may find yourself needing to buy the mid range radio.  Right from the beginning aim for the 8 channel series radios by JR or Futaba, these provide the best features to price ratio and generally speaking will take you 4-6 years of faithful use into the future.  My preference is JR but I have helped plenty of Futaba owners over the years and it simply comes down to your personal choice. Again a question to ask yourself is " Is radio control helicopters is a hobby you have wanted to pursue a considerable time?", if so then spending the money now will be one of the best choices you will have made getting into this great hobby.
